Etat Libre d'orange Exit the King
Exit the King
On the corner of 69 rue des Archives in the Marais, Paris, the old world meets the new. The pale moon sinks behind the towers of Notre Dame. Inside a perfumery, a man and a woman stand among bottles — he, resigned to the fall of an old order; she, radiant and victorious, the embodiment of change, holding a scent strip like a scepter.
November 16, 2019.
"Exit the King — a perfume to dream of entropy," he says. Not the end in chaos, but the graceful decline of what once was, and the birth of something new. Like a Loire château in its final golden light — magnificent in glory, then vanishing into memory.
Resolutely chypre, Exit the King is a fragrance of grandeur and surrender, love and renewal. It kisses the air with fleeting magnificence, then humbly steps aside for what comes next.
A perfume for the new world, made modern yet timeless. Welcome to the new era.
